Understanding the importance of accessibility to quality instruments, I started a small guitar "shop" within my guitar lessons studio in Warrenpoint. 

My goal is to make quality starter guitars and accessories available to kids and adults across Newry and beyond.

From legendary local bands to intimate live performances, the echoes of music resonate through the streets of our local towns.

Musicians from all walks of life have called this area their home, each adding a unique flavour to its rich musical tapestry. 

However, amid this flourishing musical culture, a noticeable void existed: there were no local music shops where musicians could browse, exchange stories, and acquire their instruments. 

It was this absence that became the driving force behind my venture.

The idea of combining a guitar “store” with my guitar lessons studio was a realization of the synergy between learning and acquiring instruments and guitar accessories.

I envisioned our space not only as a place for aspiring musicians to hone their skills but also as a haven for guitar lovers to explore and acquire quality instruments and accessories.

It isn't just a retail space; it's a hub where musicians can immerse themselves in a world of guitars, amplifiers, pedals, and more.

At the heart of my journey is the desire to build a tight-knit guitar community. Beyond being a retail outlet, our “store” serves as a gathering place for musicians and enthusiasts alike.

In the future, I wish toi regularly host events, workshops, and jam sessions, creating an environment where connections are forged, collaborations are born, and inspiration flows freely.

I believe in the power of community, and our goal is to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their talents, whether through performances, exhibitions, or creative collaborations.

Managing inventory, and navigating the intricacies of the retail world were obstacles i had to overcome.

I’ve had the privilege of seeing aspiring guitarists blossom into skilled artists, and we've witnessed the magic that happens when musicians from different backgrounds come together.

As we look to the future, our vision extends beyond the walls of my “store”. I’m committed to slowly expanding our offerings and services, ensuring that our community continues to thrive.

I aspire to host larger events, provide more educational resources, and support emerging talent.

My mission remains steadfast: to foster a love for music and guitar, creativity, and camaraderie in our often overlooked town, and to invite others to join us on this journey.

Newry is a vibrant city in Northern Ireland with a rich history and culture. 

It is the second largest city in the country and is located on the River Clanrye. Newry is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful scenery, historical landmarks, and lively atmosphere.

I went to school and have worked in Newry most of my life.

There is something for everyone to enjoy in Newry. 

Visitors can explore the city's rich history at the Newry Museum, visit the historic Newry Cathedral, or take a walk through the picturesque parts of Newry. 

Newry is also home to a number of excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars.

My first gig was actually on drums playing in a band called Mad Sunday in Gatsby's nightclub in Newry.

The Magnet Centre and NAMAC was host to numerous gigs including on the stage of the famous Newry Parochial Hall and Newry Arts Centre. 

This means a lot to me because one of my guitar heroes, Rory Gallagher, graced the stage in the 1970's
